This amazing 1951 Fender “Nocaster” guitar belonged to Roy Buchanan until 1971 when he sold it to Lance Quinn. Lance Quinn recently passed away and the guitar was passed down to a friend of mine. Danny Gatton did the refret job in the 70's, changed the pickups and added a brass nut. The pickups are authentic original single blade Joe Barden pickups. I'm not sure when the decal was added on the neck but I know it's not authentic. The autograph on the body is Tommy Emmanuel. For the first half hour I didn't even want to touch it. I just couldn't believe it being such a huge Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton fan. I did basic maintenance to the guitar…just to keep it going.
Definitely a day I'll never forget.
